FOOD & BEVERAGE
Working closely with an art director and graphic designer, we revamped the restaurant and catering menus for Red Heat Tavern, a high-end gastropub chain in Massachusetts. Employing our understanding of menu design in relationship to customer behavior, we reordered and formatted the chef's top dishes to optimize sales; updated descriptions to emphasize leading culinary trends and consumer preferences; and retooled the restaurant's brand position in the gastropub market.

Newsletter | MA Farmers Market
Mazola | FOODSCAPE GROUP

MA Farmers Markets is a not-for-profit organization supporting Farmers Markets in Massachusetts. For their monthly newsletter reaching an extensive mailing list, I wrote a column featuring produce in season, including tips for buying, storing and preparing, followed by easy but unique recipes.
Foodscape Group is a Chicago-based consulting firm working at the intersection of nutrition science, food policy, product marketing and communications to create, debate and promote a healthier landscape of foods and beverages. For their client, Mazola, I prepared a PR deck recommending how the company could take advantage of recent studies indicating the health benefits of corn oil, one of their signature products. Mazola eventually used the recommendations to create a consumer-facing infographic for their website.

Blog | SMARTSENSE BY DIGI
For the past 7 years, I have been writing long-form blog posts about food safety, grocery and restaurant trends, food technology, and food history for SmartSense By Digi, a Boston-based technology company specializing in digital temperature monitoring for the food service and restaurant industry. Together with the Content Manager, we brainstorm ideas for posts that I later fully develop.
